Wizkid is set to become the first Nigerian singer to unveil a jersey for his dedicated fanbase.

The singer who affectionately calls his fans ‘Wizkid FC’ recently inked a deal with Nike to officially release the Starboy jerseys.And this comes just a day after Super Eagles unveiled their new kit designed by same sportswear company.

Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi, also supported Wizkid in this new venture as they both modeled for the 2018 World Cup kits launched by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFA) in London.

Also, from the screenshots taken off Wizkid’s social media, the singer is seen drawing up the design for the Starboy jerseys.

 The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has issued a ‘Not To Be Broadcast’ (NTBB) warning against rapper Olamide’s hit song ‘Science Student.’

She told Tribune “NBC does not ban music. Our mandate is on what goes on Radio and TV. Olamide’s Science Student has been declared ‘Unfit for broadcast.’

“The profligate mention and the subtle promotion of illegal drugs declared the song unlawful.

“We have communicated all our licensees for compliance or they will face sanctions.”

 Man accuses Olamide’s brother and member of YBNL, DJ Enimoney of nearly stabbing him to death at a popular night club in Lagos, Quilox.
The guy took to his instagram page to share how the incident happend, cutting from what he shared on Instagram, he said DJ Enimoney with the support of the YBNL crew and quilox worker attempt to kill him and not to fight him at all.

After stabbing him, they left him inside a room while he was bleeding and he said, DJ Enimoney stabbed him in the chest aiming to stab him to the heart.

The duo got awards and international recognitions for raising the bar where good music is concerned.
The year did have its own bad side as the supposed rivalry between the two artiste made headlines. Both musicians threw shots at each other via their songs, and on social media.

But Davido and Wizkid won't allow the year end without giving their fans something to smile about as they reunite on stage, giving audience an amazing performance.

On Thursday night, At Billboard Women In Music 2017, She Emotionally Dedicated Her “Woman of the Year” Billboard award To The Best Friend Who Saved Her Life. Francis Raisa, her best friend donated her kidney to Selena. At the award show, She said that this award has gone to a wrong person.

While accepting her “Woman of the Year” Billboard award at Billboard Women In Music 2017, she wept and tributed her award to her best friend Francia Raisa who donated her kidney to Gomez.

Selena surprised many of us by the news of her kidney transplant by sharing a photo of her and her best friend Francia Raisa in the hospital gowns holding hands together.

At the award ceremony, as Raisa presented her with the award, Gomez got emotional and she said, “To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life,”

I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Judge refuses Meek Mill’s bail request, calls him ‘A danger to the community’

Meek Mill has hit a hiccup in his latest attempt to walk free after a judge denied his request for bail.

TMZ reports that Judge Genece Brinkley classified the rapper as a “flight risk” and “a danger to the community.”

Brinkley also questioned the validity of his clean drug tests, apparently suggesting that he could have used something to flush his system.

Meek’s lawyers have been attempting to get their client out free on bail as they appeal his two- to four-year prison sentence for a probation violation tied to a 2008 conviction on drug-and-weapon charges.

His lawyers have argued that the judge shows “enormous bias,” including acting “inappropriately” by asking Meek to drop his current management, Roc Nation, and sign with local music mogul Charlie Mack.

The lawyers have also accused Brinkley of once asking the rapper to do a remix of “On Bended Knee” by Boyz II Men and give her a shoutout, a request that Meek refused, possibly resulting in his stiff sentencing.

Those allegations have prompted an FBI investigation.

This latest ruling by the judge has prompted Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina to once again call out Brinkley, saying that the decision “continues her long pattern of unfair treatment” of Meek.

Sarkodie Replies Yemi Alade Over Her Claims On Him Disgracing Her Three Times

Following the allegation made by Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade on the Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, that he disrespected her three times after refusing to meet her for collaboration on three occasions.

In response to what the Nigerian musician said, the Ghanaian singer and Sarknation boss in an interview with Nkosuo TV, from the United Kingdom where he is currently carrying out his ”highest” tour, said what Yemi claimed about him was not true.

After it was reported that Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are,  allegedly  assaulted Augustine Miles Kelechi, aka Tekno Miles, for being rude to him at the One Africa Music Festival in Dubai, people expected Tekno or his management to take legal actions or fight back.

It was first reported that a fight broke out between Wizkid and Davido.

Davido, in a post on social media later, made it known that Tekno was also involved. There, he gave his word that he would not allow anyone hit Tekno again.

Tekno’s manager, Ubi Franklin, who was reported to have stopped Tekno’s boys from attacking Are, told Sunday Scoop, “I was there. Tekno had an issue with Sunday Are and the atmosphere became really tense.

“The truth is I don’t want to talk about it because we have settled it amicably and we have all moved on. It is a ‘dead’ issue. I don’t want to make it sound like I am the one trying to bring it up again. You know my responsibility is to chase after money.”

According to him, it is normal for artistes to fight each other, but they will always settle it in the long run.

“If they want to fight, they should fight. When they are done fighting, we will still come together and make money. My work is to make money even while they are fighting,” he added.

Speaking on why Tekno didn’t win an award at this year’s AFRIMA, he said, “I respect AFRIMA a lot and I have found out that AFRIMA is basically about voting. It is possible that we didn’t ask people to vote at our end.

“You know in Nigeria, a lot of people don’t like to vote for awards; they don’t like to canvass for votes. I think musicians, who canvassed for votes, were the ones who won. It doesn’t mean that those who won are better than the artistes who didn’t win.”

‘Mr. 2kay didn’t buy Benz with Eko Hotel compensation’, Manager reveals

SINGER ABINYE DAVID JUMBO, AKA MR. 2KAY, HAS BEEN IN THE NEWS A LOT THIS YEAR, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, IT HASN’T BEEN FOR HIS MUSIC.

The singer had once claimed to be in a relationship with former BBN contestant, Gifty Powers. According to 2kay, their relationship failed because their Zodiac signs were incompatible. However, Gifty roundly denied his claims, maintaining that she had never been in a romantic liaison with the singer.

Soon after, it was alleged that the singer was robbed at highbrow Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, during a show. When the news first became public, some people thought it was staged, and was just a way for Mr. 2kay to court relevance.

But all doubts about whether the incident happened were cleared when the police declared fellow artiste, Burna Boy, wanted in connection with the robbery and attack on 2kay.

Some suspects in police custody confessed that it was Burna Boy who contracted them to ‘carry out the hit’ on 2kay to ‘teach him a lesson’.

During the week, Mr. 2kay was also the topic of discussion when it was reported that he had bought a new car, a Mercedes Benz C300. This led many to insinuate that 2kay was able to afford the car because Eko Hotel had paid him a huge sum of money as compensation for the loss he incurred during the attack on him in the hotel.

However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Mr 2kay’s manager, James Silas, dismissed the insinuations. He said,

“Eko Hotel has not paid any money to Mr. 2kay; we have not even taken them to court. We intend to sue Eko Hotel but the earlier reports that we had already sued them are false, and they did not emanate from our camp. By next week, we will serve them (Eko Hotel) with a court notice.”

Speaking on the status of the case with Burna Boy, Silas said,“Concerning Burna Boy, the case is with the police now. Burna has not made himself available to the cops. Until he does that, we do not know the next step. It is the police that usually give us all information pertaining to the case.

“The police have invited Mr. 2kay twice and he went to the station where he stated all he knew about what happened. We just want justice to be done so that any other person, who has that kind of evil intention, will think twice before carrying it out.”

Silas also reacted to the claims in some quarters that Mr. 2kay over-estimated the cost of the items that were stolen from him during the robbery.

“For those saying that, I will only tell them to check Mr. 2kay’s Instagram page. A day before the robbery, he posted a picture of himself in the outfit he was robbed in. He wore the same clothes and the watch that were stolen. Mr. 2kay is into oil business. He is like a sub-contractor to NLNG in Bonny Island, where he is from. That’s where he makes most of his money from,” he added.

Singer Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has often been described as a nice guy by those who know him. Mostly in an upbeat and cheerful mood, Harrysong is one of those artistes who haven’t let fame get into their heads.

However, Okiri wasn’t smiling earlier in the week when he took to his Instagram to call out his state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

Harrysong lamented the incessant communal clashes in Delta State without the government doing anything decisive to stop the wanton loss of lives.

He stated, “I woke (up) this morning highly infuriated and troubled about how much Nigerian politicians have raped this country without a conscience. Even my state governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, is worse. Aladja and my community, Ogbe Ijaw, have been killing one anotherfor years and Okowa is rather playing a businessman than a father and a leader he is meant to be. Come 2019, we need leaders, not politicians.”

In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, Harrysong said some more about the issue. “It is a cause that we are fighting but we don’t want to say anything now. I’m going to Delta State on Sunday (today), and I’m going to bring back the final report that we can now talk about.

The thing is trending, and everybody has been calling me both from the state and outside. I will go to both communities that are fighting, and I will make sure that I meet with the authorities concerned. It is not an easy cause but we will face it till the end,” he said.

Situating the place of artistes as vanguards of the people, Harrysong said,

“Entertainers are the voices of the people, both in melody and in words. I think entertainers should speak up in cases like this because the world would hear us quicker and listen to us better because we are role models to a lot of people.

“The roles that we play in the lives of young people and the society at large cannot be overstated. We should speak up for our states, country and the world in general. Every purposeful entertainer should stand for their people to make their voices heard in the necessary places.”

Meanwhile, in response to Harrysong’s claims, the Delta State Government urged the Arabanko singer to visit the state often.

“Harrysong is our son and we are proud of his achievements but communal clashes have to be handled tactfully. We are talking about communal clashes and not music. The governor is trying his best to settle the aggrieved parties and as we speak, all hands are on deck in this regard. We are not folding our hands and keeping quiet,” the governor’s spokesman, Ehiedu Aniagwu, told an online newspaper.

However, talking about his current projects, Harrysong told Sunday Scoop about what he’s doing at the moment. “The Kingmaker album has been released and that is what we’re promoting right now. We are also shooting the last video to wrap up the year, for the song, Ele. The shoot will be done next week,” he said.

Olamide speaks on the #EndSARS campaign

For about 48 hours now, the hashtag #EndSARS has been trending on social media. The hashtag is being used by many Nigerian youths as a way to seek for the end of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian police.

Many are also using the hashtag to share some of their encounters with SARS officials. These stories talk about how the officers often extort, beat and sometimes kill their victims.

Joining the trend, popular musician Olamide has taken to his Social Media pages to speak on the campaign.

It looks like Drake could be a in a bit of trouble as a porn star claims she’s pregnant with his baby and has all the texts to prove it.

 Things have just potentially taken a dramatic turn for Drake as porn star Sophie Brussaux claims she is pregnant with his child.

TMZ have also reported the adult actress has now hired two huge New York City based lawyers to prove Drake’s the dad and to initiate child support costs from the rapper. Ouch.

The gossip site claims she is three-and-a-half months pregnant and the time of conception was January 20th or 21st, which is perhaps a little too close for comfort for Drake, who was seen in a restaurant in Amsterdam with her on the 24th.

A spokesperson for Drake said:
If it is Drake’s child, which he doesn’t believe it is, then he would do the right thing by the child.

This woman has a very questionable background. She has admitted to having multiple relationships.

We understand she may have problems getting into the United States. She’s one of many women claiming he got them pregnant.

Drake: Indulge me? F**k you.

Sophie: What?

Drake: You do know what you’re doing you think you’re going to get money.

At present a spokesperson for Drake told TMZ they couldn’t verify if they were real or not because they hadn’t seen them, meaning so far nothing has either been confirmed or denied.

If true, the pregnancy would have began around the same time Drake was seeing Jennifer Lopez which will only make things even more awkward for the singer.

Time will only tell whether Drake is the father or not.
